New Kapinka Reserve opens in Riverlea
Riverlea General Manager Brian Virgo and City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty celebrated the milestone with a ribbon cutting before inviting hundreds of residents to test the new equipment.
Spanning 5,000 square metres, Kapinka Reserve is carefully designed for adventure and accessibility, boasting state-of-the-art play equipment, large lawn areas, picnic shelters, barbeque facilities and space for community fitness classes.
Riverlea General Manager Brian Virgo said the masterplanned community would eventually include over 40 hectares of open space.
"Kapinka Reserve represents a significant milestone for Riverlea, reflecting our commitment to ensuring Riverlea residents have plenty of wide-open spaces to enjoy with their families and friends."

"Our architects meticulously planned every detail of Kapinka Park to create a fun, accessible, and active playground and a space for the community to come together for coffee, social sports or a birthday celebration."
City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty was excited to see the new park open for people across all of Adelaide to enjoy.
“Great parks like Kapinka highlight how important open space is to fostering community connections, and we look forward to watching the reserve grow into a hub for socialising, where neighbours come together to create lasting memories,” Mr Docherty said.
"Kapinka Reserve is more than just a recreational facility; it is a testament to the power of collaboration between Walker and the City of Playford to promote community spirit.”
